I’ve just got back from Spun Out 2008, aka fire-twirling camp. It was AWESOME! The atmosphere was great - cruisy and laid-back, but still full of energy and fun and craziness. Here is a short summary in list form:
Things I Did:
Learned some cool fire-twirling stuff - especially a fan of the anti-spin and isolations we […]
Isn’t it awesome when the sewing-blog lady says things like:
Remember, sewing is like perl: There’s More Than One Way To Do It.
(in a post about learning to sew)
I was searching for pictures of velociraptors (don’t ask), and I came across an xkcd blag post which I had somehow missed before… It’s a fan letter with some advice about deterring velociraptors, with citations! It’s hilarious, go read:
Velocilaptor Safety

Emma, by Jane Austen - I haven’t read this one yet, it was next on my list.
Brave New World, by Aldrous Huxley - This was always […]

Yup, teaching computer science to 6, 7 and 8 year-olds. It was really interesting watching the year 1s have all sorts […]
Of course, now I just need to figure out what to write… *ponders* I think I’ll start with easy stuff, like my new shiny bike… But more on that later, I want to sit and admire my blog for a bit :p
