I’ve just found out that this year’s Freeway Bike Hike has a 60km option as well as the 30km and 10km ones. For some reason I feel drawn to the 60km option, not sure why…
Pros: I’ve got a better bike & have been riding regularly, so the 30km might be too cruisy; also it’d be easier to get to Kwinana than to East Perth (just one train)
Cons: I’m going to the party of the season the night before, and the hostess wants to see me tipsy (at least!). And then I’d have to get to Kwinana by 6:45am the next morning (so at Canning Bridge station by 6:15) - so maybe cruisy would be better… And also, no Tunnel!
Pros: Narrows Bridge!
Cons: So far, so little sleep! What am I thinking?!
but, but…

I can’t decide!
I’ll have to think about it
And maybe do a twice-round-the-river practice run to see how I hold up…
Additional con: I’d probably better train for 60kms, at least a bit
