I bought a book on monday afternoon. The day before I had to be up at 7:15, for a full and important day. And, of course, the inevitable happened, and I stayed up till midnight reading… *sigh*
And then the next morning I decided to read a bit (just a bit) while I was drinking my tea, which naturally made “drinking my tea” take a bit longer, and so I had to run for my bus.
The moral of this story is - new books are dangerous, and can result in lost sleep and missed buses. Use with caution. Luckily for me, I’m too poor for this to be a regular hazard… (Hooray for gift-vouchers and guilt-free book shopping!)
That’s my story.

Don’t you just love/hate when that happens?
What was the book? (Sounds like it was very good!)

The book was Winning Colors, by Elizabeth Moon. Space opera… And of course, by 11pm it was clear that a major space battle was about to happen, and I couldn’t stop there!
And now I want books 4-7 too… :p
