Tutoring Fun

My throat hurts. I’ve just spend an hour and a half explaining file systems, inodes, indirection and fragmentation to a class full of first years who haven’t had the corresponding lecture yet. But at least that means that the roomful of blank looks weren’t because of my teaching skills! Yay! Or at least, weren’t entirely because of my teaching skills… I went around individually at the end to make sure they’d all got it, and even though I had to re-explain at least part of it to most of them, they all had it by the end. Always a good feeling, but particularly so when it follows the “they have no idea what I’m talking about, this isn’t making sense to anyone, I don’t know how to explain this in a way they’ll understand, woe!” feeling.
